I'm baaack! I returned from Hawaii last night but now that I'm back I'm a little sad that I left. Toward the end of my trip I was starting to get a little bored, but the moment I left I really appreciated the area. Anyway, I don't have my dock for my new camera right now so I can't post any of the pics that I took yet but here's one from my camera phone:

Anyway, here's a quick run-down of my week in Honolulu. I don't really know how else to elaborate and I don't even know if I remember everything :)

Friday - Before leaving, we partied at Boardner's for Maree's birthday. I wasn't in the mood to party much so I was a little bored.

Saturday - Maree and I arrived around 8-9 PM and since it was still Maree's birthday and the night was still young we decided to go out. We went to The W and got some drinks and danced. Met some people and tried to check out Oceans but it was too crowded.

Sunday - We ate breakfast at Zippy's and the rest of the day was pretty much a shopping day. We went to the Aloha Stadium to check out the swap meet. After that we checked out Ala Moana mall and the International Marketplace. At night we went to the Mai Tai Bar and got faded :) Then later that night we stopped by Diamond Head.

Monday - We picked up my cousin Meghan from the airport and did a little sunbathing on Waikiki beach. Did some more shopping at Ala Moana and hit up Da Big Kahuna and D&B that night.

Tuesday - My cousins and I went to lay out at the beautiful Waimea Bay in North Shore and stopped by the Dole Plantation and Haleiwa. The pineapples were delicious! Sadly, we didn't have time to do the maze.

Wednesday - We picked up the rest of my cousins' family at the airport and spent most of the day shopping. Hung out at Waikiki beach for a little bit, and then one of my cousins and I went to Lulu's that night.

Thursday - We spent most of the day boogie boarding at Waikiki. I got a tan and a bad cut on my foot from it >:( We stopped by Leonard's to get some malesadas and they were so delicious! We stopped by the Dole plantation again for my aunt and uncle to see. I was going to watch a movie with my cousin that night but some of the showings were too late for some of the people who were going so instead we hit up D&B again.

Friday - Sadly, my last day in Hawaii. I spent the morning jet skiing with my cousins and aunt and uncle. It was really fun!

I didn't get to try the shaved ice at Matsumoto's but maybe next time. I think the next time I go to Hawaii I will visit Kauai for a more tropical experience. I've already been to Maui. Honolulu was very city-like which isn't bad, but I think it can get boring fast, although the weather and the view was fantastic. It was also really fun to listen to Hawaiian accents and to look at hot Hawaiian boys :) There are so much more good looking guys there than here!!!

Complimentary drinks, complimentary food, complimentary gifts, complimentary manicures and massages... it really was a great night :) All thanks to Drambuie!!! My friend found out about this because she went to the promo on Tuesday. They were promoting their new liquor (it happens to be whiskey) Monday-Thursday this week. It took place in West Hollywood (heeeeyyy! gay bar area) at East/West Lounge. My coworkers and I decided to RSVP for tonight to take advantage of all this. We had a great time. We unfortunately got jipped with the food because everyone near the kitchen would grub first. But no worries, it was made all better when we ended up getting a free meal from In n Out, and then some! We all had 20's and needed change and they gave us more than we needed... it was the same amount we gave them plus an extra $3. Yum!

I didn't get much sleep this weekend, but it was fun nonetheless. I got to see most of my favorite people :)

Friday: Went to the Laugh Factory with Kim, Minh, Purvi, and Andrew. It was a riot! I didn't cry from laughing this time, but I still had a great time. The comedians were Johnny Sanchez, Jo Koy, Tony Rock (yes, Chris Rock's bro... Kim proved it to us!), and Godfrey.

Saturday: Went to visit my cousins and grandma and met my sister and her family there. Don't really remember doing much, but we watched Shutter that night. It was an ok movie, but some parts really made me laugh.

Sunday: My friend A happened to be in the area for a show at HOB in Anaheim. He had an extra ticket and invited me to come with so I took the offer :) The headlining band was Soulfly, and Bloodsimple and Throwdown opened for them. This was of course much harder music than I listen to, but I enjoyed myself anyway.

Overall, a pretty good weekend. I can at least start the week off with a smile :)

I played a couple boardgames today with my coworkers. One of the guys is very into gaming with respect to boardgames. He holds a "game night" every Tuesday, an event that I would previously avoid merely because it coincides with my Nip/Tuck night :) We first played Tsuro. I liked this game. Maybe it's because I won the first time around, haha j/k. After that we played Ingenious. Everyone enjoyed this game. We had to play in teams because there was too many of us. Unfortunately, my team lost :( I mentioned The Settlers of Catan to him and he knew exactly what I was talking about and spoke highly about it. I guess he really is into gaming :) He's actually in the process of making up his own boardgame. I'll be happy to play it once it's ready, hehe. Other games he brought or mentioned:

Pirates of the Spanish Main (and it's derivatives)
Munchkin
Gloom (I really want to play this for some reason! Hehe)

After work today, I took a trip to Jo-Ann's to buy some supplies and to use my 40% coupon :) While I was in the mall, I decided to spontaneously get my cartilage pierced!!! Ok, ok... maybe it wasn't that spontaneous, but my hastiness made it seem so. I've been thinking about it for the past few days so I decided to get it done since I was going to be at the mall anyway. I've been wanting to re-pierce it ever since I had to take it out when I was 17 due to surgery. I first pierced my right cartilage at 15... funny because I had to get my mom's permission, hehe. Ever since then, I've been thinking about it on and off but I didn't seriously consider it unless the last few days. I got my left cartilage pierced this time since my right one now has a weird bump in it from the last one. I kind of wish I made it a little higher... oh well, too late for that. I've also been thinking of getting a second earlobe piercing. After I got the piercing today, I think I'm going to get the second piercing soon. I guess I sort of already have a second, but I don't count it. The second piercing was done because the first ones closed when I was younger, and later I found that they both are open! The only problem is the holes are too close together on one of my lobes. Anyway, talk about a random entry... haha... let the healing begin!!!

I FINALLY finished reading the sixth Harry Potter, the Half-Blood Prince. It took me forever to just sit down and really read it and now I'm sad that I don't have it to keep me occupied anymore! It was pretty good and it's crazy how each book gets into more mature situations. In terms of who the Half-Blood Prince was, I was a bit surprised. I guess I wasn't really trying to guess, but I had no inkling that it was who it turned out to be. The main thing that I focused on was who was going to die. Unfortunately, I knew beforehand that someone was going to die... rumors suck. I just didn't know who. Now I'm very eager to read the final book 7!!! I am curious to see how they portray each of the volumes in the movies. Speaking of which, The Goblet of Fire comes out very soon!!! November 18th! Mark your calendars and watch it with me :)

Movies I have yet to see in theaters:
Waiting
Saw II
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I had a long weekend but it didn't feel like one at all. It went by really fast like always. I had Friday off so I decided I'd leave for Home Thursday after work. Got there and had dinner with A and hung out for a bit :) Friday I watched Jer and watched DVDs. Saturday Lyn came down so we all went out downtown. We first went to Extraordinary Desserts, but I didn't get anything. I guess I was watching the calories and the wallet! After that, we went to Aubergine. Good times :)

All weekend I helped clean up the house a bit. Now my allergies are acting up due to a lot of dust and animal dander. Blah... :)

Once again we didn't quite make it to West Hollywood for the costume parade. Our only excuse this year was not due to the weather, but just pure laziness on all our parts :) Driving there at that time is a nightmare. We need to plan it better next time. Instead, we opted to rent a scary movie and have a Blockbuster night. Our first choices were "Ichi The Killer" and "Das Experiment", but they didn't have either. We ended up getting "The Amityville Horror", the new version. It turned out to be an ok movie, but DAMN Ryan Reynolds was FOINE (minus the facial hair)! He looked even better than he did in "Van Wilder". I enjoyed the movie merely for that aspect. His body is amazing... *drool* Every man should look like that, LOL j/k... ;)
