This weekend went by so fast. Where did it go? All I really did was go night boarding at Mountain High Saturday night. It was pretty fun, but I ended the night early because I got hungry. Next time I'll bring snacks, hehe. Some guy crashed into me at full speed on the slopes but luckily neither of us were really hurt. I somehow managed to somewhat jump over him or something. It happened really fast. Later on last night I started feeling a strain around one of the hip areas. Now I feel it more today. Ugh... darn guy!

This weekend felt really long... it was pretty nice :) Quick rundown: I left for my relatives' place after work on Thursday since there was a mass being held for my grandma's birthday that night. I don't remember what I did Friday during the day... I think I just ran errands with my cousin. That night I went to White Lotus... this place was super overrated. I don't see what the big deal is. Saturday we had a luncheon at Old Spaghetti Factory... yuuummm... I miss that place. That night me and some cousins and friends went to Irvine Spectrum to hang out, shop, eat funnel cake, and we watched "Hostel" while we were there. This movie was not very good, nor was it as gruesome as I've heard it to be. It's one of those movies that kind of just ends... oh well. Today was a real lazy day, but I got my 2nd (or technically 3rd) piercings with my cousin. Yay... now I go back to work tomorrow and I'll actually be doing some real work. I sort of started on Thursday and it seems like it will be an ok position. I just can't wait til they're actually able to move my office from where it is right now.

It's barely Wednesday but I feel like I've had a week full of events already. I'm still not working on a program, but I will be starting soon.
I started the 8-week trial at Bally's on Monday and took the Hip Hop class. It was a lot of fun, but I felt awkward in my own body. It was like my body didn't flow like normal. I think I was just embarassed to dance in front of all those people. It didn't really feel like a workout, but if it was then that's great because I barely noticed! It was fun :)
Yesterday, I had my Rotation Graduation Luncheon at the Ayres Hotel in Manhattan Beach. The inside was beautiful and the food was great. It was really nice dining with the VP of Engineering and my Center manager. We've definitely been fortunate with our exposure to upper management.
Last night, we watched Brokeback Mountain. Despite some scenes making me squeamish, I really enjoyed this film and by the end of the movie I was completely engrossed in the characters and their relationships with one another. It was a moving film and I thought Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger were excellent performers. It really is a love story, but a sad, unconventional, and honest one. I really want to read the book now :)

I spent the weekend with my cousins again. I haven't seen them for a few weeks so it was nice to hang out. Friday night, Maree and I went to the LA Auto Show since my uncle had free tickets. It was ok. Nothing exciting. I always remembered it being so exciting in SD when I was younger.
Saturday night, I went cosmic bowling with some cousins and their friends. I finally got to break in my bowling shoes! I've had them for over a year I think and never had the opportunity to use them. By no means is my ownership of a pair of bowling shoes indicative of my bowling skills. I used to be pretty good when I was a kid, but now I could barely break 100, LOL. I just bought them because I figured in a lifetime it would be worth it since I could save on rentals. I only paid $15 bucks for them and they're Brunswick. I actually didn't even have to pay anything (rentals or for the game) that night! Already it's doing me good ;)
On Sunday, we went snowboarding. We attempted to go to Mtn High, but due to the rain on Saturday and the holiday on Monday the mountain was PACKED. They didn't even get new snow, so that was weird. They actually closed the sales until 2PM because there was so many people. I didn't need to purchase a ticket, but my cousins did. We didn't know if we should wait a couple hours or go somewhere else, but we decided to go to Baldy. Baldy had the WORST conditions I have ever ridden in. Last year, it was probably the best trip even though it started out bad. The snow was sooo packed and there were a lot of icy patches. There were a lot of people there for their sight-seeing service so just trying to get on the lifts was a nightmare and so was riding around a bunch of families. When it was time to go, the line for the lifts was so long and to make it worse it was seriously FREEZING and there was wind chill. We waited in line for probably an hour or more, and the ride down couldn't have felt longer. I was shivering the whole time because I didn't have enough layers on. I honestly thought I had an acute case of hypothermia, haha... my hands and feet were STILL cold when I got home!!! I think I'm finally thawed out now :)

Just thought I'd document my thoughts :) I've already talked about this to a couple of people. Anyway, I know my birthday is a long ways from now, but I think for my birthday I want to go to a burlesque show, hehe... particularly the pussycat dolls show that some celebrities perform at! I wonder if it's expensive... hmm... ;)

I kind of feel like a nomad of life who wanders aimlessly around to find where she belongs... but hasn't found it yet. I don't know. Just a brain fart.
Anyway, while perusing people's myspaces and xangas and stumbling across those that belong to people I know (friends and acquaintances), it's crazy how common being married, getting engaged, or having a child is at my age. Of course a majority of my friends and acquaintances are still single, but surprisingly a lot of them are settling down. I previously thought I would be part of this lot because rarely was I single, but the realization is that at my age despite the fact I'm single, haha, I don't think I'd be ready for it. In fact, the idea of marriage kind of scares me. Should I ever be faced with the question "will you marry me?", will I really know the answer to that? How would I know that we're meant to be together forever? Will I say "yes" just because it seems like the polite answer and then regret it later? Will I say "no" because I want to think about it and never come up with an answer? Will I just know that it's right? It's been a long time since I've felt that the person I was with really was "the one" so perhaps this is why marriage as a concept is really foreign to me now. I just can't imagine feeling that again. But when the right guy comes, I really hope I know it and that it's obvious...

Blah... jury duty is taking longer than I hoped for. I have to go back Monday. Let's hope that I don't get chosen.
Anyway, we celebrated mouse's birthday last night at Sanamluang Cafe. The food was ok, but the service wasn't very good. Maybe it's because we were sitting outside. Who knows.
Anyway, I'm actually staying home this weekend, it's really weird for me. I was able to clean up the house since I haven't been able to do that for a while. I'm not finished and I'll probably continue tomorrow. I went to Walmart for an oil change and while I was there I decided to buy a wireless router again to attempt to connect it. It almost didn't happen again, but YAY I finally was able to get it to work!!! Why does it have to be so complicated? Freakin DSL makes it so difficult. Anyway... I'm going to go ahead and enjoy my wireless while I watch tv or dvds :)

I'm bored... I'm at work not working because I was summoned for jury duty and had to report today. Why am I at work? Oh, because I had to take care of adminstrative stuff. Boo... and plus I'm waiting to meet up with mouse. Anyway, jury duty was not as bad as I expected. In the waiting room I watched Ray, Fantastic Four, and part of Bourne Identity. Seems like it would be interesting to actually serve on a jury. They haven't chosen the final jurors yet so I have to return tomorrow. Blah... I guess I'll be able to finish my day early :)
Anyway, I'm itching to hit the mountains again especially with the recent storm. During my break I made a trip to Big Bear and a couple trips to Mountain High. Mountain High's conditions were terrible but still ride-able I guess. I'm looking more forward to boarding because I'm actually carving now. It's a lot more fun and less tiring being able to do this! The past couple times I went, I wasn't even sore nor was I even tired. It probably helps that I've been working out and building up my endurance. I gotta keep up with boarding and working out! Anyway, I'm hoping my coworker plans a trip for Mammoth because I haven't been there for 2 years, but it looks like he's leaning towards Whistler... hmm... we're going to have to see if that's do-able ;)
