Just when I thought the weekend was going to be bad since it felt like it on Friday, it took a turn for the better when my cousin called me to hang out. I'm still recovering from an exhausting weekend :)

My cousin and I decided to hang out on Friday night and grab some drinks so we headed to Santa Monica and chilled at Yankee Doodles. We ended up having a great time there and while we were there we decided to take a road trip to SD the following day. I originally planned to go to Mtn High on Saturday, but the mountains will always be there and I was sure the snow wasn't going to be as great as last weekend :) I'll make it up this week ;)

So we headed down there Saturday afternoon after I was running errands all day and we both didn't even get enough sleep the night before. Dang Red Bull. We didn't have much time to relax when we got there. Basically we got home, ate dinner, got ready, then left. My friend A was working at the bar that night so we got in for free and got hooked up with drinks. We had a couple of drinks before we got there, so by the end of that last drink we were pretty lit. We sobered up by drinking some expensive water my friend kept giving us, hehe.

Sunday was full of errands to run and a lot of driving. I met up with an old friend R for some coffee before we left. He told us about some myspace code that left me and my cousin surprised and shocked... haha! After getting home, I'm surprised I had the energy to upload all my pics...

Today at work...

Dave Mirra!!!

The benefits of volunteering for events at work :) I offered to help out with Math Moves U and it was really cool! It was good to see the kids actually interested.

This weekend turned out better than last. It was filled with stuff to do and now I'm recuperating from all the activity. It'd be nice to have this holiday off, but it's ok... at least traffic is super light today :)

Friday I went to the UCLA Japanese Garden with my friend Alvin from work. We're both interested in photography so we thought we'd practice our skills. I haven't taken out my camera for over a year so it took a while for me to get back into the groove of things. I think for the most part my pictures turned out ok. I still need a lot of practice and inspiration.

Saturday morning was the highlight of my weekend. It was my cousin's birthday so we went boarding at Mtn High since he gets to ride for free. I have never seen Mtn High so beautiful before! It was snowing the whole time we were there so the slopes were nice and powdery. Too bad we had to leave early because I had to drive back down to SD to meet up with my best friend for dinner. But man... it was so SWEET! I was like a little kid, no joke. It's not like I've never seen falling snow before, but I was excited because it was actually happening at Mtn High from all places! I was even excited because of the pretty snowflakes! They really ARE like those paper ones! HAHA

That night I met up with Lyn since she was down for the weekend. We and some friends went to eat at Seau's and headed to PB after. Lyn and I ended up not hanging out at PB because she wasn't feeling too good and I was tired anyway so we went home. Too bad, but it's ok. Our friend tried playing cupid again and I have to say... STRIKE THREE. She needs to quit the matchmaking business... well, the one the revolves around me, haha!

Sunday was pretty tiring as well. I went to the zoo with my family so that my nephew could see all the animals. It was pretty cool, but the weather kept changing from cold to warm to rainy. It was a pretty good weekend, but I was glad to come home and sleep :)

I haven't updated in a while, and simply it's because there hasn't been much going on. I just felt like blogging... :)

Anyway, this weekend was full of disappointment but with a couple of positive highlights. Many plans didn't work out like they were supposed to. First of all, I was planning to take a day trip to Bear on Sunday but there was a lot of miscommunication... I hate flakes but I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say I never flake... some people just do it more often than others. So instead of Bear, I took a trip back Home since I haven't seen my family in a while. Before I left though, Friday night was supposed to be spent partying in Hollywood for a friend's birthday... kind of. I told her maybe and wasn't really planning to go. Last minute I wanted to go but it was already too late. Boo. Instead I went to play some pool with my friend Albeen from work, so the night turned out ok in the end. Man, I am really rusty on my billiard skills.

Saturday night was my friend's birthday and I was planning to go out. It turned out that the celebration ended up being in Temecula... it was too far of a drive for me to head out alone. I ended up staying home that night and catching up on a bunch of movies I haven't seen yet. I did a lot of shopping this weekend with my family so that made it a little better, hehe. I came home last night exhausted, down, and wanting to rest. My friend A happened to be around the area so I got an unexpected but pleasant visit from him last night... strange how things turn around.
