It's funny how things come full circle. You sometimes think you're never going to understand a situation, then suddenly there's so much clarity in your confusion. You realize how valuable 6 degrees of separation can be, and how even just 2 degrees of separation can mean a world of difference... or maybe that's just me ;) I'm thankful for all my experiences, the good and even the bad, because without them I wouldn't be able to understand nor know how to react when life throws you a curve ball. There's so much juicy gossip that I stumbled upon yesterday that all in some way or another involve me. I'm glad that instead of getting stressed out and not knowing how to deal I'm able to look back at a situation and laugh about it. It really is quite enlightening and stress-free to be this way :)
Anyway, I didn't do much this weekend. I purposely tried to stay home and catch up on some sleep. It's been difficult for me to fall asleep at night, but some of the blame does have to go to some late night phone calls from HI. Sometimes you don't notice it, but 3 hours is a huge time difference. It's been really hard to focus and concentrate lately because I've been so tired. The only thing I really did this weekend was go shopping on Saturday and then I hung out with my old friend S at Dragon in Hermosa that night. It was good to see him again and I didn't realize how much I missed him nor how much I appreciated his friendship until we hung out that night. Overall, it was an ok weekend. I'm already looking forward to the next weekend...

Happy late Easter, everyone! I hope everyone's weekends were fun and eventful :) Can't go into it too much since I'm not at home, but here's a breakdown of my weekend:
Friday: Went to Mtn High and boarded in the morning. The snow was a little slushy, but it started snowing really hard while we were there. Got a lot of good runs in, but it definitely doesn't compare to Mammoth :D Started to do the jumps but only did a few decent jumps. That night, watched Scary Movie 4... had some funny parts, but of course it wasn't super good. Either way, I enjoyed it anyway, haha.
Saturday: Went to UCLA with my cousin and her friends. They had to check out the Carnival exhibit in Fowler for extra credit. It was nice to be on campus again. I really miss it... just not the studying ;) That night, went to a free concert at SUC, I mean USC, hehe j/k! It was Springfest so we went there at night and saw MC Supernatural (he's sooo tight!), Chali 2na from Jurassic 5, Saul Williams, and MOS DEF!!! It was so much fun, but it made me realize how out of the hip hop scene I've been. I kind of miss it. I was up near the front so I got a good view of the show :D
Sunday: Easter Sunday... woke up, went to church and hung out at my cousin's house. It didn't feel the same as previous years but it was still ok.
My work week looks pretty busy... so I guess I'll update again a lot later!

I headed out to the driving range again last Wednesday. I was doing really well considering I was holding the club totally wrong :) I love using the driver!
The main event though was this past weekend. I headed up to Mammoth with Mouse, Jimboz, Maree, and some other friends. We left Friday night and almost made it to the cabin without having to put our chains on, but it started to snow really hard... it was so nice! I was pretty stoked because this meant fresh snow on the slopes the next day. Saturday's conditions were ideal... the most stellar conditions I've ever ridden in. It was sunny and the slopes were covered in powder! Some of the untouched areas were too powdery, but overall it was sooo sweet :) I had to stop a couple of times because one of my bindings came loose and I lost some screws! Luckily the staff fixed it for me... they're so great (not to mention pretty cute, lol)! Maree's back part of her binding broke later on that day, and they fixed that too. All we had to do was tip them which was a good thing because these types of services should be included in the outrageous price of the lift ticket anyway! I wish I was able to go on more runs and ride a bit faster, but oh well...
I wanted to ride half day Sunday but instead we left after checkout. On the way home we stopped by Schat's for lunch. Mmm... they're breads and other baked goods are yummy :) Next time, I'm hoping to have at least one more day in Mammoth!!!
