This weekend went by too fast, but it's ok because it's only a couple more days until next weekend starts :)

We had another potluck at work Thursday and, like always, there was some yummy food! I decided to bring a "dirt cake" to the party.


  

It tastes a lot better than it looks :) Luckily, I didn't have to take any leftovers home!

I won a VIP happy hour party so I also organized a happy hour for that night for the people on my program at Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach. The turnout was good and those whom I wanted to be there were there. I don't ever recall being drunk before 9PM, haha! Our happy hour prices were extended until 8:30, we got complimentary appetizers, and we got coupon cards for the rest of the night! It was uber good times!!!

Friday, I planned to take the day off because I was supposed to go to Magic Mountain with my cousins. That didn't go through but I decided to take the day off anyway and went shopping. I went Home during the weekend to visit the family. My nephew cracks me up! After a weekend of shopping, I came home with a lot of stuff. I came home happy :) This weekend's damage:


  

- a couple of tops from Hot Topic: It was buy one get the second half off, so I bought two, haha! Not much of a deal, but I couldn't resist. I chose the piano keys shirt for the second since it's the only instrument I really know how to play, LOL!
- (yet another) Harajuku Lovers bag: this one's my favorite of the bunch
- Nip/Tuck Season 2: I got it for only $18.99! Season 3 comes out today!!!
- (yet another) pair of Chucks (gift): I've been wanting these for a while. They are the pinstriped ones. I love pinstripes, plaid, and argyle prints! I like houndstooth, too :P
- a pair of Vans (gift): "got my Vans on but they look like sneakers..." I love these! They are grey and black checkered slip-ons.
- some accessories (gift): some cute headbands and a pair of earrings
- Burberry Tender Touch perfume (gift) :D
- Shu Uemura eyelash curler (gift) :D

This weekend was a nice long weekend, and I almost converted it to a 4-day weekend but I think I'll just make next weekend another 3-day weekend :)

I went to Disneyland and California Adventure last Friday with my sister and her family. It was my nephew's first time there and needless to say he had a lot of fun. I wasn't planning to attend originally, but how could I say no when my nephew was expecting me to go? The trip was pretty cool and I got to ride on almost everything I wanted to except for Tower of Terror. It's ok though because I went on that ride 3x the last time I was there. The 50th anniversary fireworks show was amazing! I thought it was beautifully orchestrated and it was a great ending to a good day :)

I'm on the front page of our company's monthly newsletter, and I've been getting teased constantly for the past few days. Even managers really high up said the common phrase I've been hearing, "Cheryl, you're famous!" Ah, it's ok. At least the higher-ups know my name :) But I don't see the teasing ending anytime soon.

And speaking of work, I just got another gift certificate from work! WOO! I'm so fortunate to work with such cool and generous people :)

The past few weeks have been blah. A lot has happened, but I've been too lazy to write about it. In the past few weeks I have:

- gone to the OC Fair
- watched Miami Vice
- visited SD
- gone to the Putting Edge
- played pool at D&B
- acquired a new dartboard
- broken it off with someone I was kind of seeing

Things are kind of back to normal now, so it's a little boring. My only worry right now is figuring out what to do for my birthday. It's in less than a month!!!
