I just got back from The Pink Spiders concert! It was a lot of fun (thanks, Mouse) :) Too bad it felt like they weren't on for very long :\ A band called Young Love performed before them, and they opened for Good Charlotte. I'm not a big fan of GC, but they put on a good show... too bad I only like a few of their songs. We left early.

I woke up early this morning to go to a J&Company sale. I came home with a couple new jeans/pants and three tops. He helped pay for some :) After this, we shopped more at Century City mall. I had no idea they renovated! It looks so fancy and nice now.

Slowly my spending habits have been getting pretty expensive for the past year when it comes to makeup, skin care, and clothes. I'm not complaining because I like what I buy and feel good in them, but it's hard to get everything I want at once. The only thing I haven't succumbed to yet is big purse shopping. Although, I'm hoping to finally get a Gucci, an LV (maybe), more Coach, and a Burberry... in that order, haha j/k! I love Gucci and although I have all my mom's old purses, I want a new one of my own. One of my guilty pleasures lately is designer jeans. I already have Miss Sixty, Diesel, Joe's, People's Liberation, 575, Juicy Couture, Seven For All Mankind, and now J&Company. I still want a pair of Rock and Republic, Citizens of Humanity, and True Religion jeans before I consider my collection complete ;) Ugh... what am I doing to myself...

Thanks so much to Mouse for bringing K and me to Cobras & Matadors for dinner last night :) The tapas were very yummy!!! I'm still craving the sweet potato fries :D

Speaking of food, I'm happy to have discovered a worthy Mexican joint near my place thanks to a friend of mine. Being from SD, I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food and I'm kind of a "snob" when it comes to such cuisine in LA. For example, I don't like beans or rice in my burrito, that's not what I'm used to! My friend has recently pointed out Alberta's which is conveniently located within a couple miles from my place. I usually judge a Mexican restaurant by the quality of their carne asada burritos. I have to say that this is the closest place I've found here that's similar to SD! It's still not as good, but it definitely will help the cravings. It's other SD-like qualities include cheap prices, carne asada chips, AND carne asada fries!!! WHAT?!? Mmm... I'm hungry :P

Another good weekend has come and gone... I hate when it ends! Especially when it's a weekend spent in VEGAS!!! :D

Friday: On our way there, we stopped by Primm to shop and gamble a little. We arrived in Vegas by 8PM. For dinner we ate at Fusia in Luxor where we stayed. The food was good but expensive with little portions. We gambled a little bit and ended up sleeping really early that night.

Saturday: We spent the day shopping at the Forum shops in Caesar's Palace. My cousin and I also checked out the Bodies exhibition in Tropicana. It's the Body Worlds exhibit just with a shortened name it seems. I've seen this before but my cousin hasn't so I went to go see it again with her.

That night I wanted to do a couple things and this included the Pussycat Dolls show that I've been wanting to see for some time now! Unfortunately, one of my cousins is still a year shy of being able to go into this show. I don't know why a burlesque show requires 21+! So, we defaulted on my other idea... the grand finale, main attraction, highlight of the weekend! Ok, before I get into it, everyone knows I'm a sucker for Aussie men (if you didn't, now you know!), just like Mouse is a sucker for the Brits :P Well, what we decided to do was right down my alley. This show was practically made for people like me! We watched Thunder from Down Under in Excalibur. It was sooo much fun! The guys were amazingly hot (their bodies and their accents, rrrRRRrrr) and impressive with their strength and acrobatic flips! I wanted to take a few of them home with me, LOL j/k! It was definitely an entertaining show. There was a portion of the show where they asked for volunteers for a competition. HILARIOUS. All I'm going to say about that is "Egh!" :) This show is definitely going on my to-do list for my bachelorette party ;)

Sunday: Before leaving, we ate at PF Chang's then headed out. When we got back, we got together with one of our other cousins that I haven't seen in a while. I missed her! I didn't do too much else so I went home with just enough time to unwind from a fun-filled weekend :)

There are benefits to being an AMC Moviewatcher member... free popcorn, free drinks, free movies every once in a while. I recently was selected to watch a free screening of "School for Scoundrels" at the newly built AMC in the newly renovated Del Amo mall! I got to bring one guest with me last night and we were also treated to a free small popcorn. It was really cool to see the new mall before its official opening. I'm pretty excited about it because now it has an Urban Outfitters! WOO!!! I could already tell that this might be a bad thing. I already was bad and spent some money there last night, haha. As for the movie, I thought it was pretty funny. It has some really funny parts!

Anyway, after talking with some friends and family, I realized that I've been missing out on some good eats, particularly when it comes to dessert places! It has recently been suggested to try out Pink Berry if I want some delicious, light frozen yogurt. Yummm... I really need to give this a try! Also, for my birthday my cousin intended on getting me some Sprinkles Cupcakes. I'm hoping to try this out someday because I love baked goods! :D

I've been thinking about tv lately. So far, I'm a dedicated watcher of Nip/Tuck and only Nip/Tuck. I've been wanting to get into Entourage and Lost, but because I didn't start them from the beginning, I don't want to watch new episodes yet (and plus I don't have HBO for Entourage). The same goes with The Office. Unfortunately, I watched The Office in the very beginning and then stopped. Now I wish I hadn't. The new show Heroes is starting soon and I want to start watching that as well. I got a code to download the first episode free on iTunes to view before it premieres, but my stupid iTunes is being flaky!!! *sigh* All this tv to watch, no time or means to watch them... :)

It's weird to witness the seasons change when you wake up around the time the sun comes up. The sun's been coming up a lot later these days. It makes it harder to get up, but I'm excited because that means snow season is coming soon :)

Anyway, this weekend was too short! I had dinner with K and B on Friday at Gaja. It's been so long. We see too little of each other! Later that night I hung out with T and we watched a movie. Good to see him!

I visited the folks this weekend. I did a little house shopping, shopping, and errands. Before I left, I had coffee with A whom I haven't seen in a while either.

I've watched a few movies in the theaters these past couple of weeks. The other Friday, I watched "The Illusionist" because I'm a huge Edward Norton fan. Unfortunately, the showing was so late that I was half-awake almost the whole time, but from what I remember, it was a good flick! It must have been the unusual birthday celebration for me and my coworker earlier in the day... I also watched "Crank" this weekend. I really liked this movie! I like Jason Statham and I love how the film was put together. There were some real cool and hip stuff in the movie.

It's Monday, time to get back to the daily grind. Luckily, it's a 4-day week for me and then it's Vegas this weekend!

This weekend turned out to be pretty cool considering how stressed I was about the plans. I began just making semi-spontaneous arrangements and it worked out better that way.

Friday: I took a last minute trip to Magic Mountain with my cousin, Chad. Since it was a weekday, the lines were nice and short and most of the time non-existent except for the lame rides like Revolution and Roaring Rapids. Go figure. We managed to ride all the main rides. We even rode Tatsu 3 times!!! It is an awesome ride. Everyone needs to make a trip out there just for that ride :)

Saturday: Spent some time with the family... went swimming and went out to eat at Yardhouse for my birthday dinner. Yummy...

Sunday: Left for SLO in the morning with B. We stopped by Pismo Beach for lunch and ate at the award-winning Mo's BBQ. Then we headed up to Paso Robles to go wine tasting at Clautiere Vineyard. This place is so fun and cool! Everything is colorful, hip, and contemporary. There are wigs and hats there for the visitors to wear while they drink. I got a chance to speak with the owners since they were working that day. Such cool peoples! It was there that I discovered that I love dessert wine... mmm... so delicious! Since we got there kind of late in the day, we only were able to visit one more winery. We went to Martin and Weyrich and I got a bottle of Chardonnay and a couple bottles of dessert wine. For dinner that night, we headed out to McLintocks in SLO for some steak. I had the filet mignon and a loaded baked potato... mmm!

Monday: We spent most of the day at Hearst Castle, so unfortunately we didn't wine taste more as planned, but it's ok because the castle was beautiful. It's unbelievable that someone actually lived there! It's ginormous! On the way back, we stopped by Splash Cafe in Pismo Beach and I had the famous clam chowder. Ooh, so much good food!

Overall, I had a pretty satisfying weekend. I'm happy with how things worked out... but I still want to go to Vegas to watch the pussycat dolls show! :P
