This weekend went by so fast and it was tiring! I spent Friday shopping for clothes to wear that night. My cousin was having a celebration for her birthday at
Garden of Eden in Hollywood and the theme was red, black, grey, and upscale. Happy 23rd Birthday, M!

I didn't do much else for the weekend except I went late to B's cousin's engagement party on Saturday, and then watched the Pacquiao fight (so exciting!). Other than that, I just ran a lot of errands and I felt like I didn't get a chance to really just relax and do nothing. Good thing it's a short week this week!!! Well, I'll get my rest once I go on my shutdown too (I get to leave the 14th!). B and I will be spending some time in Oahu a week before xmas! Thanks to his friend, S, for hooking us up with free tickets :D I'm so excited!!!

Although this weekend was short, it was fun and eventful!
Friday after work, a few friends and I got together for happy hour at
Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach. It was a lot of fun like always, and I got a little tipsy even though I didn't plan on it. Oh well... fun times :)
Saturday morning, B and I attended the
Taste of Lexus event in Dodger Stadium. It was pretty fun, and the food was delicious! I only test drove the
GS 450h Hyrid. It was pretty sweet. You can drive the cars however you want on their tracks. I drove it kind of fast and took the turns pretty sharp. WEE!!! There was a
Dermalogica area too where you can get a free skin analysis and some free samples. My skin needs some work! For giveaways, they gave a cd and a fancy card holder. I forgot the name of the collection, but it looked expensive! It was a lot of fun, I definitely want to go to another one again :)
Saturday night, I attended a wedding reception with B in San Diego. It was held at
Pearl Chinese Cuisine in Rancho Bernardo. The food was ok. I was much more satisfied at the last reception I went to :\ Unfortunately, it was raining when we left so our plans to walk around Coronado after had to be cancelled.
I visited my family the next day and took my nephew to watch "
Flushed Away". After that, the family all went out for lunch and for a little shopping at the new mall near the house. I bought my nephew a
Build-A-Bear of Mumbles, the penguin from Happy Feet. He chose a
pirate costume and
boots to dress it up with since he loves pirates. It was all worth it to see the excitement in his face :)

Yeah, I got it. Jealous?

:P
I was listening to Kevin and Bean this morning on KROQ and I thought it was kind of funny that they were talking about the different types of fantasy leagues that are out there now. Maybe it's of particular interest to me now because I'm currently involved with
Fantasy Moguls :P A couple of leagues that they mentioned that I could see myself playing in are the
Tabloid Fantasy League and
Fantasy Fashion League, more the former than the latter. Who doesn't like celebrity tabloids? Ok, maybe some people don't give a crap but most LA residents learn more about celeb lives daily than they do their own friends', hehe. It's kind of funny that all these fantasy leagues are sprouting up. I remember the days when we were drafting for Fantasy Basketball :)
Anyway, I watched Borat this weekend with B. We got to watch a free screening at the Fox studios because his cousin works there. I thought it was pretty funny. Too bad it was too short of a movie :\

Also in the news this weekend... I have finally given up my "single" status :X Eek! Hehe, j/k... I don't mind because
he's so good to me :D
