I was recently discussing with my friend about how it's funny that sometimes people say I have a "California" accent. I don't know if it's because everyone else seems to speak like I do but I never considered myself to have an accent. I considered myself more lacking an accent. So today, I saw a post on the Fred Flare blog that addresses this. I guess we were both right. I have an accent considered to be "The West", but at the same time "no one thinks [I] have an accent". Hmm... too bad. If I had grown up in my birthplace (RI), I would definitely qualify for one of the other ones! Hehe :P
