This weekend was a bit uneventful, but somehow B and I still managed to keep busy. I'm not ready to be back at work this Monday :)
Saturday, I went to get my hair highlighted. I got medium-sized highlights all over my hair with a brownish tint. I could tell already that they are going to get lighter as time goes by. I'll probably just cover it with more color :) It's been so long since my hair's been light so it'll take some getting used to. I forget that it's not dark anymore. After the salon, we hung out a bit in Rowland Heights to shop around and eat, and later that night we had dinner with B's mom. My cousin was throwing a bbq so we stopped by and hung out for a bit before heading home. I missed my cousins!
Sunday was pretty busy but more for B than me. I spent most of the day doing chores around the house. B started to build a little cage for the duckies to stay in the front yard. It's just about ready, but I don't think the ducks are ready to be outside just yet. Maybe another week or two...
I'm looking forward to this week being over. We get Friday off!

Just some thoughts...
- B and I have been thinking about it, and I think we're going to give the duckies away once they're full grown. They've grown at an unbelievable rate and are more of a handful than we first envisioned. It doesn't help that I don't live on a farm nor have a large backyard ;) It's hard to think about letting them go because they're becoming even more social than before. When we come home or when we open the door (they are now in the garage), they start chirping up a storm wanting to play. I'm teaching them to get out of their cage on their own, and they're starting to follow us a little bit. It's going to be kind of hard to let them go :(
- It's now officially Spring! I've been waiting for Spring to make some cosmetic changes. I decided a while ago that I'd lighten/highlight my hair for Spring so I think I'm going to do it this weekend. I'm not going for anything dramatic, but I want some brown streaks. It's been a while since I've really made changes to my hair color, so it'll take some getting used to again.
- Work has proposed a new opportunity for me. I'm not sure if I can do it, if I want to do it, or if I'll have time to do it. Basically, it's a leadership position on top of what I'm already doing. Not sure... still have to think about it... but kind of exciting! I think "the secret" is trying to show me ways of making more of the money that I'm asking for! LOL

I got bored and did that celebrity match thing. I guess I'm not surprised that they matched me with a list of asian celebrities, but I was hoping for some surprises!

I guess it's not bad... except the 9th match was Kelly Osborne!? LOL... I should really use another picture :P
The 10th match was Amrita Roa with a 76% match.

Haha... funny stuff :)

I'm working on my Friday off :( But it's because I took yesterday off, hehe... B was sick and since we carpooled I couldn't really go to work. Also, it was a good excuse to stay home because I couldn't get up!!!
I spent the day running errands and doing things around the house when I got back to my place. Since B's throat was hurting, I figured he couldn't eat much more than soup. I made egg drop soup for lunch, but for dinner I tried making the Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana using this recipe. This is my favorite soup at OG, hence the only soup I order from them. It was a bit more time-consuming than I had imagined, but I think it turned out ok. It didn't taste bad, but I'm not sure it tasted just like OG's. It was similar at best, but I'm hoping that day-old soup will taste much more like the real thing :D Perhaps my impatience could explain the difference, or not cooking it exactly as the recipe says.
I've debated whether or not I should make the OG Alfredo Pasta tonight to make it a real OG meal (and since I can't eat meat today), but I think I'll pass on that for now and just make some instant pasta :D

300
I saw 300 this weekend. I don't know what to say about it. But it was AWESOME! And the guys... phew! All guys should go on the Spartan diet and exercise regime! LOL, jk!!! They were unbelievably ripped, but understandably so. They leave me speechless :P

"Donald"

"Plucky"... straight up gangsta! :P
So after spending a few days with the ducklings, their personalities have become more apparent. I'm considering possibly renaming them according to their traits, but I'm having a hard time trying to come up with good names for them.
Donald:
- B's
- the leader, possibly older
- can be feisty
- more brown in color
- loves to run and hop around
- independent
- skeptical
- not afraid to get picked up
- yet is less likely to stay put in your hands
- fearless
- likes to squat/sit down resembling a rubber duck
- makes squeaking rubber ducky sound more than the other
Plucky:
- mine
- follows Donald around
- cries when you take Donald away
- likes to cuddle
- more trusting of humans
- yet slightly skittish when getting picked up
- yet enjoys being held
- burrows head when possible and immediately falls asleep when in this position
- fatter in size
- more yellow in color
- "mama's boy"
Any ideas or suggestions for new names?

The Secret
Oprah's talked about it, and apparently it's all the craze right now. My cousin introduced me it. Everyone's intrigued by the secret! "This is The Secret to everything - the secret to unlimited joy, health, money, relationships, love, youth: everything you have ever wanted."
I borrowed the DVD from my cousin and watched it this weekend. It was pretty interesting, and it's definitely worth a shot. It seemed to hold a lot of parallelism with religion (i.e. ask and you shall receive, etc.), so I could relate to some of the concepts even though it's the universe that plays the God-role. I probably need to watch the DVD again to be able to grasp all the concepts, and hopefully begin living my life of prosperity and happiness! :P

New Pets, QUACK!
This weekend was pretty interesting. B and I kept pretty busy on our 3-day weekend.
We had Friday off, so we slept in and after lunch we went to go visit B's mom and keep her company for the day. We did a little shopping and surprisingly I didn't buy anything! I was actually planning on spending some money with some of my performance sharing :P That night we hung out with his best friend and chatted over boba :)
The next morning we checked out a swap meet near his place. He had mentioned that they used to sell dogs there so I wanted to check it out. They didn't sell dogs anymore but they had a bunch of other pets. I love animals, but when it comes to pets I tend to have an "interesting" taste in animals. First off, I love dogs and the dogs I want are french bulldogs, boston terriers, and pugs (dutch mastiffs). But those aren't the weird pets. In my lifetime, I want to care for a pot-bellied pig, a chinchilla, a sugar glider, a ferret, and a hedgehog. There weren't any of those there (except for a baby chinchilla!!! Too expensive :(), but there were mostly rabbits. The rabbits were sooo cute, but I've already done the rabbit thing. So what did I end up taking home? Say hello to my new ducklings, Donald and Plucky ^_^

Their names are still debatable. We've also considered naming them Lucky, Rubber, Peking, Roasted, Suckling... you get the point. They are so adorable, they sound like rubber duckies when they make noise. I've been planning to put them in my bathtub to swim around with the real rubber duckies :P I think they'll have a blast. So far, they don't seem very hard to take care of (other than the spontaneous poop blasts). They're still babies, so they still sleep a lot :D

No, I'm not giving the other one a headlock. He just likes to hide his head in warm places when he sleeps :D They love to eat, and then immediately fall asleep, hehe. I originally wanted to get one, but B's mom suggested we get two because one will get boring hehe.
Anyway, that night B's cousin treated us out to dinner at Lucille's as a thank you for those who helped for her wedding. I finally got to try this restaurant that I heard such good things about! Yummy :) I would have loved to try the fries that they had, but unfortunately I gave up fried food for Lent :( Oh well, I'll try it next time since I kept hearing how DELICIOUS it was! >:(
Sunday was a slow day. We checked out another swap meet really close to my house. It was very much like Fashion District, just without the good knockoff purses (darn!) :P For dinner we ate at McCormick and Schmick's for our monthly nice-dinners using our $25 coupon. With the coupon, the price was extremely reasonable! :D It was so good... mmm, seafood...
