My cousin sent me a text the other week that raised an interesting question and leads to good debate. Here's a little how the conversation went:
Him: "... this is pretty random but who do u think would win in a fight? Maximus from Gladiator or Leonidas from 300?"
Me: "Haha good question. Considering the gladiator was injured in his final fight it's hard to say. But Leonidas was pretty bad ass. He laughs in the face of danger. I would cheer for him fo sho haha!
Him: "LOL [your sister] said Leonidas too... mostly girls picked him and guys picked Maximus... weird... LOL my friend picked Maximus cuz he said that was the better movie"
Me: "That's cuz the Spartans were ridiculously ripped and brave haha... Maximus was honorable but he should have beat the ass of the [idiot] king in the beginning! LOL. Besides, THIS IS ROME! doesn't have as quite a nice ring as THIS IS SPARTAAA! Haha"
Him: "But I AM MAXIMUSSSSSS has an even better ring to it... lol jk"
Me: "Although one can argue that Maximus is a natural, Leonidas was trained all his life!"
Him: "Lol my friend who works at the video store responded with this 'I don't know the guy from american gladiators'"
Me: "LOL"
I've asked friends at work and I think most of us have come to the same conclusion. What do you think?
Adobe has announced Photoshop Express, a free online application (nothing to download) that offers Photoshop's most-used image features. Users also get 2GB of online storage for photos to boot. This is great for anyone who doesn't want to fork over hard cash for the full version of Photoshop.
Nice! I like free :) I'd like to get back into playing with Photoshop :D
I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but Fergie was recently chosen to be the latest spokesperson for MAC's Viva Glam VI Campaign joining the ranks with Eve and Dita Von Teese (love her!). While this isn't really new news, I just wanted to make it known that the exclusive remix of Fergie's hit "Glamorous" is available for download on the site! Get it while you can because it is only free for the first 15,000 downloads. Other goodies available are a video where you can "watch Fergie go "Glamorous" in a video as she preps in a photo studio for her starring role as ambassadress of VIVA GLAM VI Special Edition", and a set of e-cards you can send to friends. I'm not sure who I would send e-cards about AIDS awareness to without causing some panic, but it's nice to have this medium available in nice packaging :)
Just to let everyone know, Hulu, a free HD video streaming site, has finally gone public! I was fortunate enough to have an account during beta, and I have to say that it is a very cool site. You almost don't need to buy cable! Almost :) I've tried connecting it to our LCD TV and the quality is superb. It is like watching regular TV. I suggest everyone give it a try! :)
I was this close to getting a pug *pinches fingers together and winks*! *sigh* But alas, things did not work out. I did not take her home last Saturday. New York will not have her little sister with whom she got along great with. I will refrain from elaborating lest I let it get me all riled up talking about it. Argh... I am peeved with grown ADULT BABIES!!! Or maybe greedy bastards. Oh well... I love pugs, but third to french bulldogs and then english bulldogs.
Last Thursday, B and I went to watch "Wicked". It was fantastic! I really enjoyed it. I was blown away by the women's voices. They are unbelievably talented! I suggest this musical to anyone who likes or even has just seen "Wizard of Oz", and who likes musicals :) The story is amazing and entertaining!
I went to visit my family this weekend, and little did we know that we would end up getting an addition to the family! No, I'm not pregnant :P My mom ended up picking up a new puppy! He's a pug/chow mix and has the most ADORABLE face!!! He makes all of us giggle just looking at him and watching him run around. He's taken a liking to my dad and the feeling was mutual. He's really my dad's now rather than my mom's, haha. He looks like a chow chow, but with a pug skin, haha. His fur is very much like a pug's, but with the thickness of a chow. His tongue is even half chow! Haha, parts of the tongue are the characteristically purple but not all of it. His eyes are a beautiful grey-blue. So far, all he likes to do is sleep, but he's still quite a young pup. He's only a month old, so he's still too young to even be sold! Good thing he's with a good family :) My parents named him Chin-Chin (spelling TBD, hehe... Chien-Chien, maybe?).
